An excellent copy and very rarely, if at all, found in this condition.
First Edition, first printing, one of 1100 copies. With the bookplate of French film director Jacques Martineau to the verso of the front wrapper. The play was published after sell-out performances in Spain and Argentina.
Bodas de Sangre was Lorca’s first commercial success and enabled him to become financially independent. Included with this copy is the Programa de Mano ( Theatre programme ) of the first night’s production of the play in Madrid at the Teatro Beatriz on the 8th March, 1932
