Description:
Inscribed,”V.S.Pritchett, my first book”. Lightly rubbed, spotting to edges and partial tanning to endpapers. A very good copy in the slightly tanned and foxed jacket with a chip at the head of the spine panel. Not the first Englishman to walk through Spain but probably the only one to walk through Extremadura. As well as joining shepherds on the Transhumance the book is an insight into the lives and character of Spaniards which later became the subject of his second book on the country,”The Spanish Temper”.
